Jamaal is a disabled veteran who served 13 years active duty in the United States Marine Corps, and separated as a Staff Sergeant. His Military Occupational Specialties (MOS) were in the telecommunications, and electronics maintenance fields. Jamaal has been awarded a Navy/Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, and numerous other unit and personal awards. During his service, Jamaal excelled on both the rifle and pistol ranges, qualifying as an expert on both platforms multiple times and providing guidance to his junior Marines to increase their marksmanship skills. Jamaal is currently a USCCA Certified Firearms Instructor, and USCCA Certified Range Safety Officer. In 2022, Jamaal started is business; Aigle Noir Weapons, LLC. Aigle Noir is French for Black Eagle, and Aigle Noir Weapons, LLC is focused on empowerment by providing firearms training to Women of Color and their families under the mantra of “Putting Your Power Back Into Your Hands”. Jamaal is a husband, father of three daughters, and a member of NAAGA as well as the local NAAGA Chapter, Peregrine Falcon Gun Club.
