The course of instruction will teach the basic defensive techniques for using the carbine (AR platform 5.56/.223). The course will start with the basics of marksmanship and progress to more advanced exercises. The emphasis will be on improving students' skills in handling the carbine with a focus on the fundamentals. The students will also be taught how to self-diagnose their skills to continue improving their personal performance.

Defensive Carbine Level 1
The course of instruction is 8 hours and will teach the basic defensive techniques for using the carbine (AR platform 5.56/.223). The course will start with the basics of marksmanship and progress to more advanced exercises. The emphasis will be on improving students' skills in handling the carbine with a focus on the fundamentals. The students will also be taught how to self-diagnose their skills to continue improving their personal performance.
AR Level 1: Home Defense Fundamentals

Interactive demonstration of various skills and drills pertaining to 2 gun transitions and movement. Recommended for Intermediate to Advanced students.

3 hour block of instruction covering movement with AR Platform Carbine and Pistol. Transition from Carbine to Pistol. Multiple target engagement, and reloading on the move and behind cover.

The emphasis will be on improving students' skills in handling the carbine with a focus on the fundamentals. The students will also be taught how to self-diagnose their skills to continue improving their personal performance.
Defensive Carbine Fundamentals w/ Pistols 2

The course of instruction will teach intermediate defensive techniques for using the carbine (AR platform 5.56/.223). The course will cover movement, multiple target engagement, transition to pistol, and tactical reloading. Other skills being taught are optic zeroing, Minute of Angle (MOA), and flash / index sighting.
The course of instruction will also cover AR components and functions, eye relief, parallax, hold over, mechanical offset, and use of cover.
There will be opportunities to refresh some Level 1 topics during this course.
