Dee is an 18+ year US Navy Veteran Hospital Corpsman having served on active duty and currently an active reservist and Law Enforcement Professional. He was recently awarded a Humanitarian Service Medal for his diligence and hard work when he returned from deployment in 2019 and was immediately redeployed to New York City for Operation Gotham rendering medical care to patients of the Covid-19 Pandemic in early 2020. He has undergraduate education in General Studies, Healthcare Management, and Criminal Justice and Investigative Forensics. He holds graduate level education in Forensic Psychology, Law & National Security. He is a certified USCCA Firearms Instructor, NRA Firearms Instructor, AHA BLS Instructor, Stop the Bleed Instructor, Realistic De-Escalation Instructor, & Federal Law Enforcement Instructor. With all his training, skills and certifications, Dee decided that he possessed tools that were needed and so he started Valiant Spirits LLC. A multi-faceted business that wouldn’t just help people with one thing if it has the capability to be a resource for many. Dee pioneered and championed the motto and company tagline “Live Meaningfully, Breathe Purposefully”. His vision and thought behind this are simple, your life has meaning and purpose and in everything you do and every skill you use, you must remember to always breathe and do it purposefully. Friends often describe Dee as motivating, thoughtful and good vibe energy. He enjoys inspiring others and encouraging them to succeed and be their best. The celebration and the smile after the work has been put in is worth it! His sailors and students of his training describe him as a highly motivated self-starter who is a dedicated and results focused professional and an instructor with a passion for teaching. His energy can be infectious and is top tier. His years of experience in the firearms industry, healthcare, public service, and community involvement are true testament to his character and selflessness. He is a founding member & President of Peregrine Falcon Gun Club (PFGC) a Maryland Chapter of the National African American Gun Association (NAAGA) and one of the founding members of the Coalition of African American Firearms Instructors (CAAFI) located in Maryland. Dee is a proud member and brother of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc Zeta Alpha Sigma Chapter, and a PHA Mason of Maceo Boston Lodge #145.
